As we grow and learn together, our goal is… purpose in every step.  Attending this conference will equip you with essential skills and knowledge to effectively serve our church community. Participate in hands-on workshops and training sessions tailored to various volunteer roles within the church, ensuring you feel confident and prepared in your responsibilities.

23 I do everything to spread the Good News and share in its blessings. 24 Don’t you realize that in a race everyone runs, but only one person gets the prize? So run to win! 25 All athletes are disciplined in their training. They do it to win a prize that will fade away, but we do it for an eternal prize. 26 So I run with purpose in every step. I am not just shadowboxing. 27 I discipline my body like an athlete, training it to do what it should. Otherwise, I fear that after preaching to others I myself might be disqualified.

BREAKOUT SESSIONS

  • Taught by Alex Schwindt

"Making Weekend Worship Run Smoothly" (joint session with worship minsitry)

If Sundays are about celebrating our faith and our community, why do they often feel like the most stressful hours of our week? In this workshop we'll explore the crucial processes and systems that will maximize collaborations, protect relationships and free us to worship through serving.

"Maximizing the Power of Your Cinema Cameras"

With the incredible rise in the availability of cinematic-quality cameras, getting the best out of them can prove incredibly challenging. In this workshop we'll explore the foundations of cinematography and explore how to maximize the effectiveness of cameras like the Blackmagic Design Cinema Cameras, the Canon EOS C200 Cinema Camera and the EOS R6 Mark II.

    "Recognizing and Telling Great Stories"

Description: Each of us are hardwired to respond to stories. They move our hearts, change our minds and reshape the way we connect to each other and to God. In this workshop we'll explore the essential elements of how to tell stories effectively, and how to recognize and shape the stories in our own community.

  • Session taught by Dan Scott

    “Faith Foundations”
We only have so much time with the kids in our church, what are the most important things we should be teaching them about trusting God and following Jesus? In this workshop, we’ll talk through understanding how kids learn, how that impacts the way we talk about theological foundations of faith, and cover nine core theological foundations that lead to a lasting faith.

    “It’s Just A Phase”
Have you ever wondered why kids act the way they do at each phase of their life? This workshop will trace how kids think and experience life throughout their lives from birth through high school. We’ll talk about how this can impact the way we help them understand their relationship with God as each stage of development.

    “It’s Personal”
As volunteers, it’s important to really get to know the kids you serve. In this workshop, we’ll take a closer look at a moment from Jesus’ life and how it can impact the way we get to know kids. We’ll cover five important questions that kids have when it comes to the people in their life and understand how we can be the answer to them.

  • Taught by Pastor Stephen Braswell

    "Discipling The Next Generation"

As believers, Jesus commanded us to go and make disciples of all nations which includes our students.  It isn’t enough to just get our students to church.  How are we preparing this generation to not just lead the church of tomorrow but lead the church of today?

    "Healthy Habits for Leaders"

What you don’t control will soon control you.  As leaders, we must build healthy habits that help us lead this generation of believers.  The healthy habits that we develop today will help us prepare our new leaders of tomorrow.

"Preparing Our Teenagers for Launch Into Adulthood"

What do you mean I have to pay for my own Chipotle bean burrito with extra queso?  Wait, what are taxes?  With so many worldly questions and changes moving from teenagers to mature adults, how do we spiritually prepare our teens for the beautiful mess of adulthood?

  • Taught by Ryky Legg

    "Building Authentic Stage Presence"
We all want to worship more passionately and lead more effectively, but how do we become more expressive worshippers without it feeling fake? This session will dive into biblical examples of both worshipping and leading worship and help you develop a biblical foundation for an engaging stage presence.

    "Practicing A Lifestyle of Worship"
You’ve heard the cliche: “worship isn’t just music, it’s a lifestyle”, but what does that even mean? This session will explore practical aspects of the posture of worship - both on and off the stage - as well as what it means to be spiritually prepared to lead worship.

"Making Weekend Worship Run Smoothly" (joint session with tech team)

  • Taught by Evangelist Michael Ball

"Growing in Your Faith: Personal Spiritual Growth" (general session)

What does a true disciple look like? How do spiritual disciplines such as prayer, Bible study, fasting, and church attendance help us to grow as believers and committed followers of Christ? Through sound biblical principles, we will discover ways that we can “Grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ” (2 Pet. 3:18).

"Basics of Evangelism: Helping Others Find Jesus" (general session)

We are commanded by Jesus, on at least five different occasions, to share our faith with others. Looking into the Scripture, we will discover the reason for our being witnesses, why so few are participating in personal evangelism, and how we might become more equipped to share our faith with others. More than we are told to “Come,” we are told to “Go.” God has chosen you to share His message through personal evangelism.

"Cultivating Disciples: Tools and Techniques for Spiritual Mentorship" (Small group leaders)

One of the great failures of the modern church is its neglect in making true disciples. Jesus instructed us, “Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations” (Mt. 28:19), yet very few can truly say that they have done so. the Bible is our greatest resource for understanding how to cultivate and develop disciples within our local church and community. For us to make disciples, we must be disciples. We will look at biblical models, as well as proven methods of training disciples of Jesus Christ.
